Mississippi Children's Museum - Meridian

"At the Mississippi Children’s Museum- Meridian, we are grateful to have partnered with the Community Foundation of East MS on multiple grant awards in our 5 years of operation. The Community Foundation serves as the mechanism for us to be connected with the many granting entities, helping bring us together to better fulfill each of our individual missions to make a positive impact in our area. We were so honored to receive a grant from the 100+ Women Who Care of East MS group. From Babysitter Academy classes for teenagers to artist-led creative learning, many of our initiatives have been supported and made possible by the CFEM. - Mississippi Children's Museum - Meridian

Hope Village for Children, Inc.

"In March 2024, Hope Village for Children was chosen via a vote by our local community as the inaugural 100+ Women Who Care Impact Award winner through the Community Foundation of East Mississippi.  To be nominated and chosen amongst many other amazing local non-profits was a tremendous honor.  For over 25 years, Hope Village for Children has cared for Mississippi’s most vulnerable youth who have been abandoned, neglected, and abused.  Our continuum of care gives them a safe and secure home to heal and transform from their traumatic pasts and most importantly, gives HOPE for a brighter future.  The $5,000 Impact Award from 100+ Women Who Care provided some of the first funding for a critical new program to serve victims of human trafficking.  This early investment helped lay the foundation for expanding specialized services for this extremely vulnerable population.  Beyond the financial support, this generous award demonstrated the community’s confidence in our vision and commitment to protecting and restoring the lives of children and young people in need. We are deeply grateful for this partnership and the lasting impact it made on the future of this life-changing program.  Our Executive Director, Terri Province commented, “Receiving this award really made an impact on the lives of our children and also rippled out into our community.  What we did then and what we continue to do today builds on tomorrow and the next day for generations to come—it has truly been a blessing." - Hope Village
